How To Install A Lace Frontal Wig
The previous blog has already talked about how to install lace closure wig, so this blog will tell us how to install lace frontal wig correctly and some tips.
Before this, do you know about the difference between them? The most obvious difference between a lace frontal and a lace closure is that the frontal encloses the entire front area of your head from temple to temple right at the hairline whereas a closure only encloses about a 5x5 area at the of your head. Frontals are from 13*6 ear to ear lace frontal will covers more spaces than closure.
Now ready to wear wigs, we need to prepare some things first, like:
* Lace Frontal
* Wig Cap
* Wig Comb
* Elastic Band
* Scissors
* Concealer
*（Glue）
Then it’s time for installing, it includes 5 steps.
Step 1 Flatten your hair to your head
- Before you put on your wig, you will first need to prepare your hair. If you have little or no hair, you will need to use a wig cap to help keep your wig secure. If you have short hair, simply brush it back, away from your face.
- For longer hair, pin it up by making flat pin curls out of sections of your hair. Keep them distributed evenly over your head to avoid bumps and bulges.
Step 2 Wear The Wig
Before this, you need to compare the difference between the lace color of the wig and the skin color of the forehead, and modify the color of the lace close to the forehead with a suitable foundation color, so that the wig can be installed more natural.
And then hold the wig close to the label, tilt your head slightly forward, place your wig to your forehead, and in a front to back motion slip the wig on as you would a bathing cap.
Tilt head upright and push the front of the wig back until it aligns with your natural hairline.
Tuck in any stray hairs. If you feel pressure around your scalp, the wig is too tight.
When you move your head the wig moves independently, the wig is too loose. Use the elastic band inside the wig to loosen or tighten as needed.
Step 3 Cut the lace
First of all, fix the lace at the hairline, you can choose to wear it with or without glue according to your preference.
Then divide the excess lace in front of the hairline into four equal parts, and slowly cut the lace along the hairline, as shown in the picture below.
Step 4 Comb the wig
Use a comb to gently comb the wig from the root to the end of the hair. Comb several times to ensure the overall smoothness of the wig.
And make a special comb to sort out the small hairs on your forehead to make the wig look more natural. You can also design the baby hair you want according to your own preferences.
Step 5 Style the wig
Unless your wig is made of human hair, like swiss lace wig, you can’t use regular brushes, hot styling tools, and hair products. On the contrary, your wig is synthetic, avoid using regular brushes and hot styling tools. Therefore, use a wide-toothed comb or wig brush to adjust the hair, and use curling tools to make the hairstyle you like.
